Reference Section:

This section contains valuable multi-volume collection of 7756 reference books such as Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Reports, Bibliographies, Atlases, Data Books, 25000 M.Tech. Dissertations, Ph.D. theses etc Reference and Readers' Advisory Service is welcome to avail this service at the Reference Desk on the Second Floor of the Library. This service is available for all the 10 hours the Library remains open. New entrants to the University are invited to the Orientation Course conducted in the beginning of the academic session. The reference section is a separate entity and holds about 8000 precious reference tools, including encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographical dictionaries, yearbooks, hand books, almanacs, directories, atlases, gazetteers, indexes, quotation books, bibliographies, accession lists, guides, maps, etc. It is arranged in the Eastern Hall mid between the general collections of the library. The Library also arranges books on inter-library loan from other libraries on specific demand. Reference books are not issued, but readers may consult it within the premises of the Library.

Reprographic Services:

This section is located on Ground Floor of the Central Library to provide the reprographic facilities to the library users. This section is well equipped with the zerox machine and computer printer. The users can avail these facilities on nominal charge of Rs. 01 for computer printing and zeroxing.   Reprographic service has proved to be a boon both to the readers as well as to the library with the result that the readers can get the material Photocopied and computer printing of articles and research papers as and when they require on nominal rates. It has minimized the mutilation and pilferage of books to a great extent.

Book Binding section

 Housed on the Ground Floor, the Library Bindery is fitted with the latest binding machines. Apart from undertaking routine binding of Library reading materials, it attends to small repair jobs brought by students. It has facilities of comb and spiral bindings, lamination etc. RGPV Central Library Binding section is equipped with facility of binding of books, old volumes of print journals for archival collection. In the stack area many books and journals need to be repaired and bound off and on. Readers are repelled by the shabby, loose jointed dirty books on the shelves. Similarly paper back edition need to be bound before sent to circulation, Not only full binding , but books need to be repaired and these minor repairs prolong the life of the book to a remarkable extent, In practice the absence of binding/ repair drives the volume to an untimely death.
