The Central Library stock more than 01 lacs books, 350 Print Journals, 30 Magazines, 25 Newspapers, 520 Handbooks, 325 Annual Reports and nonbook materials including more than 3000 CDs/DVDs are received with books and magazines, Central Library heaving more than 800 CDs/DVDs collection of full text Ph.D. Thesis received with the print Ph.D Thesis. Library heaving more than 10000+ Classroom lectures videos and audio collection of NPTEL and MITS, USA. Students are also can access more than 20000 full text online journals title through e-shodhsindhu and DELNET or getting through the RGPV Consortium.
The Central Library also subscribes 03 engineering database i.e. J-Gate, Web of Science and Engineering Village, database provide a single source for scholarly e-books, e-journals, e-newspapers, e-dissertation, e-thesis, e-Ph.D. Thesis and annual reports. Central Library is also a part of NDL(National Digital Library) to access the more than 68 Lacs/million of pages of digitilzed e-resource like e-books, e-thesis, e-lectures, e-videos, audio lecture, e-journals and e-database etc.
Central Library also offers user friendly such as RFID automated system and automated document delivery services, web base books search facilities i.e. web OPAC powerd by KOHA open source software. Central Library also developed the in house LIMS(integrated library management software) known as SPLASH, its successfully implementation and barcode generation in the Library of UIT, Bhopal, Shahdol, Jhabua, Shivpuri and other reputed institutions and departments of free of cost.
Central Library provides consortium facilities for affiliated institutions of RGPV. Central library building is eco-friendly and energy saving building in addition the library building have a sky dome in centre point of the library, its provide natural light and cross ventilation, for reading of books and magazines.
